Countless stories have played out in this historic farmhouse, designed to offer a generosity of space, a comforting shelter, and a restorative connection to nature that any family escape requires. The farmhouse is surrounded by green lawns; its stately architecture speaks to its place in history. As one of the largest homes in the area, it started life in the 1890s as a classic Cape Victorian farmhouse until being faithfully reimagined in 2005 as a warm, welcoming, family-friendly home.
Three en-suite bedrooms are tucked into quieter corners of the house, offering garden or sea views and an enveloping sense of calm. Filled with natural light and designed to generous proportions, each room becomes its own sanctuary. Furnished with design icons — Le Corbusier’s LC4, Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona chair — and tuned to the rhythm of the surrounding landscape, Niemeyer is a design lover’s dream and a quiet celebration of coastal living.
Beside the pool is a timber pavilion housing a steam room with covered alfresco entertaining areas.
